Family owned and operated, Crest Lighting Company was founded by Irving E. Taffert in 1965. With over a decade of lighting experience, Irv began a company that would utilize his expertise and knowledge in providing
the finest lighting solutions at competitive prices. Working out of his home in North Hollywood, while making his own deliveries, Irv was able to grow the company and move to a local facility in a years’ time. With a helpful and knowledgeable staff, the goal was to always provide excellent customer service while meeting the economical needs of the customer.
In 1971, Irv’s daughter, Wendy (Taffert) Den, joined the company and was employed as the bookkeeper. In 1976, Jack Den, became part of the team, as well. Hired as a driver, Jack did his due diligence. Both he and Wendy learned the business from the bottom-up. Every facet of the business was taught by Irv. Upon Irv’s passing in 2007, Crest Lighting Co. became 51% woman owned by Wendy Den, president. Together with Jack
Den, vice president, they have continued the family dynamic, while working side by side with their son, Ryan Den since 2003. Ryan supervises the quotes department and is the sales manager.
Incorporated in 2010, ICT Den Group, Inc. dba Crest lighting Co. is currently celebrating its 55th year in the San Fernando Valley. As the lighting industry has evolved and developed LED lighting solutions, so has Crest Lighting Company’s stocking selections increased to include the many variations available. Crest offers a large stock of LED lighting fixtures, downlights, flood, high bays, strips, LED lamps, plastic lenses (cut to size),
drivers, ballasts, inverters, transformers, sockets, dimmers, lighting controls and an array of replacement parts. While supplies last in California, we also have fluorescent tubes, & bulbs. We are a stocking distributor of Lithonia Lighting (Acuity Brands) and other major brands, including but not limited to, Elite Lighting, Cooper Industries, Westgate, Topaz, GE, Sylvania, Philips, Lutron, Watt Stopper and nLight controls.
